ABOUT US
Our goal is to provide educators and experts in the field of domestic violence to stop domestic violence before it starts. This will be accomplished through conferences, university platforms, and speaking at major sporting events.
Many people do not realize the lasting effects this has on children so we will provide professional services designed for them to overcome this tragedy they have experienced.
We provide support and counseling services for children that have been part of abusive situations and have dealt with abusive parents.
HOW WE HELP
We raise money to fund our effort in education to prevent domestic violence before it happens by partnering with apparel companies and brands to donate a small percentage of sales towards the cause. This is done by asking these companies to add our logo “Peace Vs Punches” as a small branding element to their product to show their support and allow other to do the same. Education is key to stopping the cycle of domestic violence. By showing support for the cause and giving our youth the tools they need to educate themselves, we can help make the world a better place.
- Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten
- Domestic Violence is the leading cause of injury to women — more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined.
- Almost 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence each year.
- More than 3 women per day are murdered by their husband or boyfriend.
- More than 50% of women who had been physically abused by their partner never reached out to a shelter or police for help.
- The cost of domestic violence exceeds $5.8 billion per year. Approximately $4.1 billion of that cost are for medical and health care services.
- Men who witnessed this as children are twice as likely to abuse their spouses.
- Approximately 20% of teenage girls have had a boyfriend threaten violence if presented with a break up.
These statistics are staggering and heart breaking. We are a post reaction society. This has to change!! We have to make the change to educate children and young adults on how to avoid these situations. If we can save 1 person from becoming a victim from domestic violence or teach 1 person how to move their anger to communication instead of violence we have made the world a better place.
